We've wrapped up two days at the Future Energy Expo in Astana Kazakhstan at the conference on "Renewable Energy and Quality of Life" co-hosted by Kazakhstan and UNITAR. It was an honor to be part of a group of 30 entrepreneurs like Inyenyeri, African Clean Energy and Solar Kiosk, along with the African Development Bank, IOM and GIZ, who have developed innovative technology and financing solutions targeting populations that have not yet benefited from the renewable energy revolution, including millions of displaced persons.
The vast horizon of the Central Asia Steppe provided the perfect setting to introduce the Peace Renewable Energy Credit to an international audience and present our vision for creating a market for promoting clean energy transitions in conflict and crisis settings by monetizing renewable energy generated in these fragile places.
Energy Peace Partners would like to thank UNITAR and the Government of Kazakhstan for inviting us to participate, salute all the participants for their commitment to building scalable and sustainable businesses in this space and for the numerous generous offers of support and collaboration.
